Alta Lura Hunter, age 91, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015.
Lura was a member of Manchaca Baptist Church. She retired from the Texas Railroad Commission. She enjoyed her family and friends. Lura was a resident at Querencia Barton Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents SC & Alta Crumley; husbands Lawrence Boothe & AJ Hunter; infant son Gary Boothe; 12 brothers & sisters.
She is survived by daughters Lana Sykes & husband Leland of Walker, LA, Lanette Henderson & husband Gary of Austin, TX,; grandchildren Jeff Graham, Jennifer Pittman, Jason Wachsmann, Heather Keller; eight great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
The family will received friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX 78745. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery, Austin, TX.
