Bobby L. Armstrong, 69, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at his home. He was born February 18, 1942 in Beebe, Arkansas, the son of Clell and Vera (nee Norton) Armstrong. He was united in marriage to Judy Gebes on November 25, 1978 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia. Bobby proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from January 1960 until January 1964. He worked numerous positions for over 37 years with Caterpillar in Aurora. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and bowler. Even though he has bowled a three hundred game; he regrets that he has yet to record a hole in one. He really enjoyed "varmint hunting" in South Dakota. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; his daughters, Geni Jackson of Arkansas, Shannon (Jim) Stanhope of Arkansas, Cassandra Armstrong of Oswego, Bridget (Dale) Dillinger of Arkansas, and Connie (Robert) Wuerfl of Montgomery; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation was held September 27, 2011 at the Moss Family Funeral Home, in Batavia, where a memorial service followed.
