Lloyd Ellis Andrews, 93, of Orlando, Florida joined his beloved wife and his Lord in Heaven this September 13th, 2015. Born in White Hall, Illinois, March 14th, 1922 to his late parents, Ellis & Mary (Jones) Andrews, Lloyd graduated from Roodhouse High School in 1940. There, he befriended Ella Thixton, who secretly "set her cap for him", and when Lloyd came back from the service, she went to the high school basketball game where she knew she would find him. The rest, as they say, is History~ In fact, Lloyd shared later that he never thought he would marry, but when Ella came along, she changed his mind! They were married on April 20th, 1946.

Lloyd served his country faithfully during World War II in the Army Air Corps; and, when he returned and married Ella, he took correspondence courses and became certified as a cost accountant even as their family grew. Lloyd was very intelligent, and was soon hired by Hume Company, now known as Hart-Carter. He and his bride eventually retired to Orlando, Florida, encouraged by their children, and inspired by Ella's love for Disney.
Lloyd continued to be a family man, focused lovingly on them, and reading the Word with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Ella; and, his siblings, Mary, William, Bonnie and Carol.

Lloyd is survived by his children, James "Jim" Andrews (Lynn), Marjorie "Marge" Tate (Larry, dec'd) and Patricia "Patty" Kalber (Jerry); seven grandchildren, Amanda, Justin (dec'd), Joshua (Kim), Jennifer (Adam), Angela, Brandon (Devon) and Nayely (Victor); and, six great grandchildren, Daniel, Valerie, Mia, Caleb, Colin, and Ashlynn.

A Celebration of Lloyd's Life will be held Saturday, September 19th, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Windermere. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, and the Service will begin at 10:30am; a Committal Service with Military Honors will follow immediately at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida.
