Funeral services for Frances "Fran" Gaither 59 will be held Friday April 16, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North with Rev. John Norvell officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gaither died Tuesday April 13, 2004 at her home in Memphis after a year long battle with cancer. Mrs. Gaither was born May 17, 1944 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Wallace Jordan and the late Mary Jewel Turner. Her family moved to Jackson, TN in 1948, where Mrs. Gaither attended Jackson public schools and graduated from Steele's Private School. Mrs. Gaither moved to Memphis, TN in 1973 and was Manager for Marvin Short Foreign Cars for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James T "Red" Gaither Jr. and her daughter Sandra "Sandy" Walling, two sisters Carolyn Alexander, Patty Russell and her brother, Michael Jordan.
