GROVE - Curtis Hogshooter, 68 year-old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, died January 10, 2009 at his home.

Born July 14, 1940 in Watts, Oklahoma, he was the son of Jess and Gladys Marie (Logsdon) Hogshooter. He married Juanita O. Johnson in Stilwell, Oklahoma on July 7, 1960. Curtis worked as a mechanic with Simmons Foods. He served as a deacon at Sycamore Springs Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elouise Cox, and one brother, Darrell Hogshooter. Survivors include his wife, Juanita of the home; two sons, Jesse Hogshooter and wife Teresa of Belton, Missouri, James Hogshooter and wife Sonya of Grove, Oklahoma; three daughters, Amanda Johnson of Rogers, Arkansas, Rhonda Moore and husband Gary of Grove, Oklahoma, Pamela Rovie of Grove; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Hogshooter and wife Evelyn of Del City, Oklahoma, Jimmy Hogshooter of Westville, Oklahoma; one sister, Gertrude Vann of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Pallbearers for the service will be Buddy Johnson, J.J. Johnson, Shane Johnson, Steve Dozier, Richard Dozier and Tim Dozier. Funeral services were 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas with Pastor Lewis Ross officiating. Burial followed at Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2009 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
