Retired Farmer
Dies At Sanatorium
A retired Wolcottsvllle farmer
who had lived in Lockport the past
five years. William G. Leppien, 79,
of 51 Cleveland St., died Friday
at the Niagara Sanatorium,
after an illness of five months.
Mr. Leppien was born in New
York City, March 31. 1876, the son
of William and Minnie Kaul Leppien,
and moved upstate as a youth.
Surviving are his wife, the former
Emelia Bartz, three daughters,
Mrs. Merritt Gilbert of West
Shelby; Mrs. Carl A. Parmele and
Mrs. Elizabeth Wolter, both of
Lockport; one son, Frank of Akron,
also five grandchildren and
11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at
S o'clock at the home and at 3.30
at St. Michael's Evangelical Luth-
eran Church. Wolcottsville, the
Rev. Hilbert Huth officiating. Bur-
ial will be in Royalton Mt. Ridge
Cemetery.
