Burdell was the son of Alfred & Emma (Reichert) Lange.
He married to Dorothy Verner on June 5, 1947 at McCaysville, GA.
He served in the US Army Veteran - 1945/1946.
He was the father of Connie, Judy, Vicki, Kris, Roger and Randy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy, infant sister, Viola and brother, Everett.

Burdell Robert Lange, the son of Alfred and Emma (Reichert) Lange, was born at Holstein, Nebraska, on July 26, 1926, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 6, 1995, at the age of 68 years, 8 months, and 16 days.

He attended school at Holstein, and graduated from Aurora High School. He served his country in the United States Army from 1945 to 1946.

On June 5, 1947, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Verner, at McCaysville, Georgia. She preceded him in death on August 20, 1988. After their marriage he worked as a mechanic in Kearney and Michigan, and in 1955, they returned to Nebraska, and lived in Doniphan, where he was employed at the Navy Ammunition Depot in Hastings. From 1955 to 1957 he worked on the farm for Henry Goertzen, and then began working for Rudy Schaffert until his retirement in 1993.

Burdell was a member of the Aurora First Evangelical Lutheran Church, belonged to the Aurora American Legion Lester S. Harter Post #42, served on the Legion Baseball Committee for many years, and was an avid sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother Everett, and an infant sister Violet.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Roger of Aurora, and Randy of Fremont; 4 daughters, Connie Hartman of Hastings, Judy Knecht of Wood River, Vicki Lange and Kris Griffin both of Aurora; one brother Virgil of Aurora; and 6 grandchildren.
