John (Jack) Peroutka, 79, of Francis Creek (Route 2, Manitowoc), died Thursday evening, February 5, 1987 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 am Monday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 10:30 am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Donald Schneider and Rev. John Haen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Peroutka was born April 23, 1907 at Francis Creek, son of the late Wenzel and Barbara Cherney Peroutka. He married the former Mayme Wachal on June 5, 1929 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The couple resided in Francis Creek. Mr. Peroutka was employed at Kingsbury Brewery in Manitowoc for 30 years, retiring in 1983. Mr. Peroutka was a member of W.F.L.A. Lodge Number 20 of Melnik and past president and charter member of Francis Creek Sportsman Club. The couple had the honor of celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1979.

Survivors include his wife, Mayme; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Elaine, Bill and Joyce, Tom and Bonnie and Greg and Faye, all of Manitowoc; a daughter and a son-in-law, Marlene and Don Schultz of Two rivers; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Frank and Camilla Peroutka of Francis Creek and Mabel Peroutka of Francis Creek; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Anton and Louis; a sister, Delia Pech and an infant sister, Irene. Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, 4 pm to 9 pm Sunday and Monday until the hour of service. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 pm led by Father Schneider.
