Mr. Peroutka was born May 2, 1903, at Francis Creek, son of the late Wenzel and Barbara Cherney Peroutka. He married Mabel Bruce June 1, 1927, at Milwaukee. The couple owned and operated Peroutka's Tavern for the past 46 years at Francis Creek. Mr. Peroutka was an honorary member of Knights of Columbus Council 710 of Manitowoc and Francis Creek Sportsman's Club. The couple observed their 56th Wedding Anniversary on June 1st.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Mary Ann of Marshfield and Robert and Sandy of Route 2, Two Rivers; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Carol and Al Knappmiller of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Frank and John of Francis Creek and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anton and two sisters, Mrs. Della Pech and an infant sister, Irene. Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday until the time of services. Wake service 7:30 p.m. Sunday by Father Schneider, Knights of Columbus, relatives and friends.
