Sarah L. Bays, 83, of Worthington, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born May 21, 1925, in Greene County, the daughter of Garrett & Bessie (Fiscus) Hamilton. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Johnny's Onion Ring Factory in Worthington and at Worthington-Jefferson School. She was a member of Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church in Worthington. She is survived by four children, Becky Bill) Daymude of Linton, Bill W. (Carol) Bays of Worthington, Ronnie Joe (Yolonda) Bays of Indianapolis, Gary 'Bird' Bays of Worthington, 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 60 years, Loren F. Bays, Sept. 19, 2003; two brothers, John & Joe Hamilton and two sisters, Pauline Steward & Gay Marie Jean. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday June 14 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, Worthington Chapel with Reverend Doug Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery
