Helen Darlene (Dot) Crandall. born in Farmington, Kansas on September 13, 1932 went to be with the Lord in October 12, 2013. Dot was the 7th of 8 children born to Frank and Nancy Clayton. She lived an adventurous, wonderful life having spent time living and making lifelong friends in Texas, Mississippi, Spain, England, and Minnesota before settling in Tacoma, Washington. Dot has a love for antiques and had an uncanny gift for finding the treasures which she sold at antique spaces and shows throughout the local area. In 1985, she met the love of here life, Harry Crandall. They were married for 26 years before his passing in 2012. During their time together they both enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, dancing, and socializing with friends at the Lighthouse Senior Center. Dot was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a son; two granddaughters; a great grandson; and a numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved by all and will be missed. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Old Tacoma Cemetery. There will be a reception following the service at New Tacoma Cemetery, Chambers Creek Chapel, University Place, WA 98467.
