CLARKSVILLE -- Connie Will Gibson, 65, passed away Friday, November 28, 2003, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a native of Science Hill, KY, and resided most of her life in Clarksville. She owned and operated her own wallpapering business, retiring after 25 years. She was a longtime member of Graceland Baptist Church, a member of the Prayer Warrior Ministry and Women's ministry at the church. She was also a member of the Rosie the Riveter Society. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose "Rosie the Riveter" Monroe and her brother, Troy Will. Survivors include her husband, H. Ray Gibson; son, Gary Jackson (Lesa) of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Cathy Avischious (Tom) of Colorado, CO, Sandy Klotz (Ken) of Louisville, Beckie Voyles (Scott) of Sellersburg, IN, and Mary Ellen Coomer (Dennis) of Martinsville, IN; father, Calvin Will of Clarksville; sister, Vickie Croston of Texas; sister, Becky Champion of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and four nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2003, at Graceland Baptist Church, with burial in Abundant Life Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2003, at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Graceland Baptist Church, Hospice of Southern Indiana or cancer research.
