John was a decorated combat engineer serving in World War II, Bronze Star recipient and 38 year employee of Railway Express Agency (REA).
Loving father of the late Susan. Survived by his loving children John Jr., Kathryn, Teresa (Nils), and David (Elizabeth). Proud Grandfather of seven and Great-grandfather to one.
Services held at Johnstons' Wellwood Funeral Home, Lindenhurst, NY. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Interment at St. Charles Cemetery.
