Mrs. G. L. Alderson died Feb. 8, at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. H. Fitch. She was 74 years old, and a pioneer of theis county. She is survived by the above mentioned sister and two brothers, John Arch and Grant Nelms. Her husband died about fourteen years ago. They had no children to come into their home, but her nephews and nieces were loved by her as though they were her own. The devotion of her nephews with whom she lived was indeed beautiful and tender. Nothing was left undone that would add to "Auntie's" comfort. May God bless and comfort her loved ones. Her funeral was held at Ector Methodist Church, conducted by her pastor, Rev. G. W. Byers, on Feb. 9 at 3 o'clock. Burial followed at Carson Cemetery. Those attending from out of the county were Mr. and Mrs. Claud Hughes of Gainesville, Mrs. Chas. Severe of Sherman, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fitch of Whitesboro.
