Services for Della Chittenden, 85, of Wisner, were held Saturday, January 12, 1991 at the United Methodist Church of Christ. Pastor Scott Evans officiated with burial in the Wisner Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gayle Giese, Harlan Jackson, Robert Brazda Jr., Jesse Skinner, Charles Wehrer, and Robert Myers.
She was born March 15, 1905 at Wakefield to Benjamin and Leona Mae (Spencer) Chase. She graduated from Wakefield High School and attended Wayne State College and Nebraska Wesleyan University. She taught school at Wisner and Pilger and had been librarian at the Wisner Public Library. She married Thomas W. Chittenden June 24, 1931 at Wakefield. He was a long-time funeral director in Wisner. He died in 1969. She was married to Dr. H. Gayle McMaster. She died Wednesday, January 9, 1991.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: friends, Alvin Oltmanns and Mrs. Warren (Alma) Carsten, both of Wisner.
