Floyd Edward Antill, age 85, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday September 28, 2015.

He was born on June 15, 1930 in Mount Vernon to the late Raymond and Helen (Drumm) Antill. Floyd was employed as a glass cutter for Pittsburgh Plate Glass from which he retired after 30 years of service. He was later the custodian at the Salvation Army. Floyd was a member of the Salvation Army Church and was a veteran serving in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953.

He is survived by his daughter Nancy (Gregory) Amoroso of Mount Vernon; two sons, David (Jean) Antill of West Nyak, NY, James (Linda) Antill of Irmo, SC; thirteen grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry (Deedee) Antill of Mount Vernon, Eldon Antill of Perrysville; and his sister Marie Collins of Mount Vernon.

Besides his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Phyllis Antill; five brothers, Ernest, Ralph, William, Stanley and Paul Antill; and his sister Wilda Vance.

Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Salvation Army Church. A service will be held on Friday, at the church, beginning at 11AM with Lieutenants Brandon and Adriana Gonzalez-Cottrell officiating.
