Luther J. Williams, 78 years old, 407 S. Sixth St. died at noon Friday at St. Anthony Hospital. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Roxie Schaffer and Mrs. June Lindsey, both of West Terre Haute, Mrs. Thelma Parson of R.R. 2, West Terre Haute, Mrs. Iva Blocksom and Mrs. Nellie Ridener, both of Chicago and Mrs. Freida Peters of Terre Haute; three sons, Paul of Chicago, Arthur of Arlington Heights, IL, and William of Redondo Beach CA; two sisters, Mrs Etta Bruner of Willow Hill IL, and Mrs. Clella Morrison of Mattoon IL, Two brothers, Roy of Mattoon IL, and Ray Williams of Toledo IL. 31 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the West Terre Haute Pilgrim Holiness Church. The body was taken to the Bedino Chapel of the Valley where friends may call after 6:00 Saturday evening. Funeral services will be at 10:00 Monday morning at the West Terre Haute Pilgrim Holiness Church. The Rev. Dennis Barber will officiate and burial will be in Bethesda cemetery. The body will be taken to the church from the funeral home one hour prior to services.
