He was born December 6, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, a son of the late Charles and Betty Mullins Braden.
William was of the Baptist faith, proudly served his country in the United States Army, and worked for Ken-Mor Stone. He was a member of the Olive Hill American Legion Post No. 138 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. William enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time at the American Legion and VFW.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Braden Albert Butler, and two brothers, Vernon Braden and Ronnie Braden.
William is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Teresa Braden of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Braden and Micheal Boles of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Rebecca and Bob McGlone of Carter, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Tabitha Page Butler, Savannah Collene Butler, Sirenna Michael Butler, Cade Matthew Weber, Veronica Marie Weber, Conner Leo Burton, and Hunter Lee Braden; and one brother, Tommy Braden of Topeka, Kansas. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Soldier Wesleyan Church in Soldier, Kentucky.
