WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Virginia Marie "Ginger" Abrino, 31, of Winter Haven, Fla., and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at her home.
Born June 11, 1982, at Schenectady, N.Y., she was a daughter of Donald and Helen Abrino of Curwensville.
She was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School and the Clearfield County Vocational Technical School.
She will be deeply missed by her parents Don and Helen; her sisters and brothers, Marsha (Mrs. Aaron Provins) of Hampton, Danielle Shafer of Warsaw, Mo., James Abrino of Baltimore and Levi Abrino of New York, N,Y.
She is also deeply mourned by her best friend, Ms. Christina McConniel, and children of Winter Haven.
She was raised in the West Branch Society of Friends, Grampian. She was an avid soccer player in high school, a long-time Girl Scout and loved animals, especially her seizure dog, Sieraris. She also loved fixing cars, American Indian lore, drawing and wood carving.
She loved Ms. McConniel's children, Destiny, Faith and Graydon Brown as her own, and her nieces, Katelynn and Cheyenne, and nephew, Blaze.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the Friends Meeting House, Grampian, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Branch Society of Friends, in care of Sue Thorp, 854 McFadden Road, Grampian, PA 16838; or Clearfield County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
