Alma E. Adair, 77, of Ephrata, PA, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 surrounded by her family at Lancaster General Hospital after courageously battling a long-term illness.

Alma was the loving wife of the late William Adair who passed away April 9, 2012.

She was born in East Cocalico Township, daughter of the late Earl and Margaret Dunkelberger.

Alma was a member of Ebenezer E. C. Church in Brownstown, PA.

She worked for Hemmerich Industries in Denver, PA for 36 years and was most recently a part-time employee of the Shopping News in Ephrata.

Alma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a Philadelphia Phillies fan.

She is survived by two children: Dennis Adair, husband of Bonnie, of Elizabethtown, PA and Virginia Sweigart of Lufkin, TX; three grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, and Kristina; one great- grandchild, Zoey; two brothers: Ernest Dunkelberger, husband of Shirley, of Ephrata, PA and Clair Dunkelberger, husband of Sarah, of Myerstown, PA; one sister, Jean Shober of McPherson, KS, and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Dunkelberger of Shillington, PA.

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Keith Miller will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, PA 17522. Alma’s family will receive friends before the service from 10-11 a.m.

Place of interment will be Memory Gardens, E. Cocalico Twp., PA.

Donations in Alma’s memory may be made to the Healing Journey Foundation at Lancaster Cancer Center, 1858 Charter Lane, Lancaster, PA 17601.
