ARTHUR H. CROWDER
Arthur Herman Crowder, 59, of 196 Harrison St., died at his home Saturday afternoon from a heart attack. He had been in ill health two years.
He was born June 26, 1895 in Van Wert to James E. and Francis Judy Crowder. His father was a native of Wapakoneta and his mother was from Kentucky.
He was a retired porter. Before his retirement, he worked at Hotel Harding. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Maudie H. Johnson of 754 N. State St. and Mrs. Bertha Richardson of 184 Hughes Ave.; and two brothers, Raymond Crowder of 722 N. State St. and Miles Crowder of Vallejo, Calif.
He was a member of the Park St. AME Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Hughes Mortuary, Rev. William T. Newsom officiating.
Burial will be at Marion Cemetery.
