Mack Henderson, 14, of Fair Play died suddenly Friday evening at his residence.

He was born in Springfield, the son of James Joseph and Melissa K. Lacey Henderson. He was a lifelong resident of the Springfield metro area
.
He attended Fair Play Schools and just completed his freshman year. He enjoyed playing his XBox, texting his friends, being outdoors and hunting and fishing. He was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Oronogo.

He is survived by his parents, James and Melissa Henderson, and two sisters, Cloey and Kallie Henderson, all of the home; maternal grandparents Larry Lacey and wife Linda of Oronogo and Marilyn Carlin of Smithfield; paternal grandparents James V. Henderson and wife Jeri of Springfield and Teresa Byers and husband John, also of Springfield; two uncles, Robert Lacey of Oronogo and Andrew Henderson of Springfield; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Pastor Max Raney will officiate with interment in the Oronogo Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Henderson, Andy Henderson, Robert Lacey, Larry Lacey, Jim Henderson, Tony Carlin and John Byers.

Memorials are being directed to the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, c/o Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, 301 W. Broadway St., Webb City MO 64870.
