William Randall "Bill" Chitwood, 80, of Gadsden, Alabama, died on September 29, 2015. He is survived by his son, daughter, two granddaughters, sister, brother, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irby and Cecil Chitwood; and sister, Pat Etchison. He was born on May 8, 1935 in Portersville, Alabama. He served with the U.S. Navy Medical Department attached to the Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a University of Alabama alumni. He owned Associated Medical Services and Country Roads Log Homes Mid-South. After he retired, he officiated youth sports. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. October 2, 2015 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
