Mrs. Lloyd Y. Andreas

Bessie Gladys Dean was born in Morrison, Ill., Feb. 22, 1896, and ended her pilgrimage on earth on Lord's Day, Oct. 25, 1925, just after the noon hour, in the Sterling public hospital, at the age of 29 years, 8 months and 3 days.
She was the younger daughter of Joseph H. Dean, a native of Michigan and Eliza Ellison Dean, born in Auch-no-cloy, Tyrone County, Ireland. Bessie was reared in a home where love lived and reigned and was given in her childhood every advantage for education which our public schools afford. After two years spent in the Morrison high school, she entered Browns Business college of this city graduating in 1913.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd Y. Andreas, Sept. 20, 1916. Rev. James Poter, at that time pastor of the Methodist church in Morrison, performed the ceremony at the bride's home on North Base street.
After completing her business training Mrs. Andreas was employed for over a year in Chicago. Three years, from 1917 to 1920, she was the efficient bookkeeper for the Phelps Hardware Co. in Sterling, and since 1920, she has had charge of the Credit Bureau of the Association of Commerce. As an accountant she was neat, careful, and accurate, and her wide and intimate knowledge of the business interests of the Twin Cities made her a most valuable asset, as she was also a most trusted servant.
