William Curtis Angell III, 73, of South Dennis, died unexpectedly April 16 at his home. He was the husband of Helen T. (Crowell) Angell. Mr. Angell was born in Providence. R.I. and moved as an infant with his family to Yarmouth. He had lived in Dennis since 1964. Mr. Angell served with the Navy in the South Pacific during World II. In South Yarmouth, he ran Homers Garage in Bass River during the late 1940s and was a partner in the Bass River Esso and in A & J Refuse during the 1950s. Mr. Angell then owned and operated Angell Burial Vault Co. and, more recently, William Angell General Contractor, both in South Yarmouth. He retired in 1991. Mr. Angell was a Hospice of Cape Cod volunteer. He leaves besides his wife a son, Robert B. Angell of Yarmouthport; a daughter, Joan Williams of Fayetteville, N.C.; three stepsons, Stephen Hatch of Hope, Maine, Dr. Douglas Hatch of Cairo Egypt, and Mark Hatch of West Dennis; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Hatch of Burlington, Vt.; three grandchildren: five stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Graveside services were in the Pine Grove Cemetery, South Yarmouth. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cape Cod. 923 Route 6A. Yarmouthport, MA 022675.
