Bernice M. Brunner, 71, of Maple Rapids, died March 14, 1996. She was born Dec 3,1924, in Gratiot County, the daughter of Montie and Minnie (Pratt) Gantz. She lived most of her life in Maple Rapids. She married Albert Brunner Dec. 7, 1941, and he servives her. Also serviving are a daughter, Mary (Warren) Moeggenberg, and a son Ronald (Leslie) Brunner, all of Maple Rapids; eight grandchildren and seven and 3/4 great-grandchildren: a sister Josephine (Bill) Barnes of Sumner; a half-brother Ed (Mary) Bradley of Ashley; and a half-sister, Mary (Bob) Abell of Toledo, Ohio. She was precceded in death by her son, Albert James Brunner; two half-sisters Ida and Goldie Bradley; and a half-brother, Raymond Bradley. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today (March 16), at the Maple Rapids Congregational Church. Burial will be at Sowle Cemetery with Pastor Tom Mercer officiating. Memorials may be made to the Maple Rapids Fire Department. Arrangements are being made by the Abbott Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home.
