Carolyn Joanne Walls, 79, of Logansport, passed away at 12:27 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, in the Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center in Marion.
Born December 24, 1935, in Frankfort, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Thomas and Sadie Helena (Holcomb)Clear. On September 3, 1961, in Logansport, she was married to James E. Walls, Sr. who preceded in death on January 20, 2008.
Carolyn was a graduate of Royal Center High School. She was retired from RBM where she had worked in the press room for 21 years. She had previously worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital laundry department and H.W. Gossard.
A member of the Bethel Temple, Carolyn loved her church and gospel music.. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and watching old-time TV shows. Most of all, Carolyn cherished the time spent with her family.
Surviving are six children: Diana Rogers (Dennis) of Logansport, Agnes Corbett (Mike Wells) of Melvindale, MI, Joanne Reed (John) of Marion, James Walls, Jr.,and Dale Walls both of Logansport and Richard Walls of Lafayette; one brother Jim Clear (Betty) of Logansport; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
Funeral Sept. 28, 2015 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Buddy Holder officiating.
Burial Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
