Mr. Ashcraft, an employee for Boeing, passed away January 17, 2009, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born April 26, 1940, in Newark, to the late Carl L. and Mary P. (Steph) Ashcraft.
He was a graduate of Hanover/Toboso High School. He was a member of the Community Wesleyan Church. He was an avid fan of Licking Valley basketball and football, and Ohio State football. He enjoyed motorcycling, cars, family, animals, traveling, working, spending time with his co-workers, and he loved his neighbors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Phyllis Jo (Daulton) Ashcraft, whom he married on July 3, 1964; sons, Perry G. Ashcraft of Westerville, and Matthew S. Ashcraft of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers, Danny (Karen) Ashcraft of Statesville, NC, Paul (Diane) Ashcraft of Jacksonville, NC, and Mike (Dee) Ashcraft of Newark; sisters, Linda Albert of Newark, and Faith Ann (Stanley) Szykula of Huber Heights, OH, and; one grandson ; many precious nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and his precious pugs.
