Harold David Claussen was born to his loving parents Herman Gottlieb and Lavina Martha (Rosenberry) Claussen on Monday April 10, 1939 at Pine River, Cass County Minnesota. In 1946 Harold lost his father at the young age of seven. My research found no information on Harold's elementary or high school schooling. Harold visited my childhood family farm in Nebraska as a young teenager, he traveled there with his mother and Aunt Eleanor. It was during the winter months in the fifties, we had a lot of snow that winter, the drifts were pretty deep. Harold, my brother, and I tunneled through the farmyard drifts, we had a great time. Harold served his great country in the US Navy from 1958 to 1961 per a Rosenberry family history book written by Myra Jean Feilds of Chambersburg, Franklin County Pennsylvania and his death certificate. Harold was united in marriage to Judith Ann Mongan on Saturday September 25, 1965 by Justice of the Peace Mrs. M. J. Waller in Richmond, Fort Bend County Texas. The couple were blessed over the years of marriage with three children, two sons and a daughter. Harold's occupation was listed as a cost accountant for manufacturing. Sadly Harold passed away of cancer per his death certificate on Tuesday October 16, 1973 at Houston, Harris County Texas at the age 34 years, 6 months, 6 days which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 12,608 days. Per the Rosenberry Family book his death date is stated to be October 6th which from my research is believed to be incorrect. My research found no information on Harold's funeral service. Harold was interred per his death certificate in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River, Cass County Minnesota. Harold's information was provided from researching many resources and my memory.
