He was born July 21, 1956, in Prairie du Chien, WI, to Bernelle and Wilma (Scherf) Glawe. Steve was baptized September 25, 1956, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garnavillo and confirmed October 12, 1973, at Norway Lutheran Church, rural St. Olaf.
Steve attended special school for work training. He lived and worked with RISE. He enjoyed sports, traveling, listening to country and church music. Steve loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Watching the Cubbies and Iowa Hawkeye basketball and football teams were also high on his favorite list! He was a longtime participant in Special Olympics; earning medals in running, swimming and softball throwing.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Bernelle; brothers, Alan Glawe and Rodney Glawe; sisters, Judith Glawe, Carolyn Glawe and nephew, Logan Glawe.
