Thomas “Tom” W. Aberant, 53, of Millcreek Twp., died Friday, October 28, 2005, at St. Vincent Health Center, after an extended illness. He was born on August 6, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Geraldine Eckert of San Antonio and the late Leonard Aberant. He lived in the Erie area for ten years. Tom was a union ironworker, retiring after 25 years. He was a member of the Siebenbuerger Club, and attended Erie Christian Fellowship and Erie Church of God churches. He was a humble servant of the Lord, serving in many mission fields. He loved to travel. He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Phillips Aberant; one daughter, Heather Aberant of San Antonio; three step daughters, Jennifer Roberts, and Jessica and Jolene Quirk, all of Erie; two sisters, Constance Aberant of Houston, Texas, and Lorraine Young of San Antonio; and one brother, Jerry Aberant of Dallas, Texas. Two grandsons, four granddaughters, two nephews, and three nieces also survive. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd., on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. until time of service there at 8:30 p.m. Interment, San Antonio, Texas.
