From South Carolina Death Records, 1821-1961:
Rogers Ballenger was a 35-year-old white male who died of consumption (TB) at City Hospital in Charleston, SC, on April 7, 1875. He was born in Germany but had lived in Charleston the past 9 years. He was a seaman by trade. He was buried at Bethany Cemetery, (which was owned by St. Matthews German Lutheran Church).
(It was difficult to read the first and last name, so I may have spelled it wrong.)
