Ronald R. Peterson, age 80, Logansport, passed away at 3:15 p.m., on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born on July 17, 1935, in Owatonna, MN, he was the son of Robert and Margaret Morrison Peterson

On January 29, 1955, he was married in the Immaculate Conception Church, Lonsdale, Minn., to Rose Marie Duban, who preceded him in death on March 3, 2007.

Ron began his career in 1957 with Wilson Foods in Faribault, MN. In 1963 he was promoted to plant superintendent of Wilson’s in Eagle Grove, IA. In 1969 he was transferred to Logansport with Wilson’s. Following retirement from Wilson’s Ron worked at GenCorp in Logansport.

Ron enjoyed his fishing trips to Minnesota with his wife and family. He loved to garden. At the Farmers’ Market he was known as the “raspberry man”. Nothing made him happier than to see his grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always made him smile.

A United States Army veteran, Ron was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Surviving are his children, Deborah (Randy) Britt, Logansport, Timothy (Melissa) Peterson, Monon, Cynthia Campbell, Logansport, Lynn Shepard, Logansport, Mary (Harold) Wagoner, Logansport, and Jennifer Peterson, Logansport; grandchildren, Christopher (Caleah) Britt, Angela (Charles) Staggs, Laura Peterson (Dietrick), Amber Peterson, Tim (Michelle) Peterson, Heather (Seth) Kidney, Nastassia Peterson, Makena Peterson, Matthew Peterson (Chrissy), Megan Wagoner, Brandon (Suzanne) Wagoner, Brittany Wagoner, Eric (Natalie) Wagoner, Ryan Wagoner, Krista (Matt) Walters, Holli (Brett) Larimore, Shawna (Forrest) Strickland, Nachelle Jackson and Nevyn Jackson.

Also surviving are great grandchildren, Austin, Aidan, Allie , Sydney, Kendra, Kiera, Kristian, Garrett, Khloe, Addylin, Logan, Chloe, Avery, Anthoni, Hadley, Liam, Maverick, Ashtyn, Amelia and Clara; great-great granddaughter, Aubrie; siblings, Jeannie (Lyle) Preston, Owatonna, MN and Jim (Joan) Peterson, Milwaukee.

Preceding in death was a daughter, Rebecca Peterson, great granddaughter, Edie and siblings, DuLloyd Peterson, Kathleen Gilbert, Delores Peterson, Donald Peterson, and John Peterson, and son-in-law, Pat Campbell.

The visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kroeger Funeral Home, where the Scripture Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at All Saints Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015, with Fr. Dominic Petan officiating.

Interment with full military honors will be in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
