Catherine "Kate" (Cunniff) Owen was born about 1854 in Ireland, the daughter of Timothy C Cunniff (1813–1884) and Bridget Delia (Canavan) Cunniff (1824–1899). {Her year of birth is questionable: Although the 1900 census lists her born in December 1844, the 1880 census has it as about 1853, while the 1910 census has about 1854, 1920 has about 1851, and the 1940 census has it as about 1854.}
She was married perhaps about 1869 to Martin Van Buren Owen (1823–1915). {The 1900 census lists the marriage as 1865, while the 1910 census has it as about 1869.}
Living at 326 21st Avenue North, Nashville, Tennessee, Catherine was 86 years old and a widow when she died at home of myocarditis on November 23, 1940. Burial was two days later in Calvary Cemetery, Nashville.
Most of the above is from her Death Certificate, with Mrs Mary Carroll of 326 21st Avenue North as the informant [and that would be Mary Ann (Cunniff) Carroll, her sister].
Known child of Catherine and Martin:
