Addie F. Holland was born on 11 Aug 1878 at Accomack County, VA. She was the daughter of Ira Francis Holland and Roberta Ann Duncan. Addie married Levin W. Benson on 15 Nov 1899 in Worcester County, MD.

Addie was named in her father's will on 30 Nov 1938 at Pocomoke City, Worcester County, MD. "SEVENTH: I give and devise to my daughter, Addie Benson, forever in fee simple, my house and lot in Pocomoke City, Maryland, on Second Street, it being all and the same property which I purchased from the Citizens National Bank of Pocomoke City, Maryland." In his will, Ira F. Holland also named sons, John W. Holland and Marion Holland; grand-daughter Margaret Holland Coulbourne; and my grand-son Francis Parks, the son of Lennie T. Parks and my deceased daughter [Clara].

Addie died on 17 Nov 1954 at Pocomoke City, MD. She was buried in Pitts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Cedar Hall, Worcester County, MD.

POCOMOKE CITY – Mrs. Addie F. Benson, 76, died in her home, 610 Second St., yesterday after an illness of several months.

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Roberta Duncan Holland and widow of Levin W. Benson, who died 32 years ago.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. C. Hodges Merrill of Pocomoke City; a son, Woodland L. Benson of Pennsville, N.J.; two brothers, Marion S. Holland and John Holland, both of Pocomoke City; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from the Dennis and Watson Funeral Home with the Rev. William M. Reed, pastor of Pitts Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Pitts Creek Baptist Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening after 7 o’clock.
