She was a homemaker and mother, volunteer at Boy & Girl Scouts and at a children's camp cook for 30 years and as a Sunday School Teacher and past president of the Air Stream Club.
Ruelene is survived by her loving family, children, Charles Aarup, Cindy (Chris) Vassell, Dawn (Randy) Anderson, Robin (Steve) Valiunas, Janet (Leigh) DeYoung, sisters, Avis Rendina, Mary (Frank) Barresi, brothers Hugh (Eileen) Trusty and Jim (Sue) Fisher, grandchildren, Daniel (Tanja) Aarup, Megan Aarup, Lauren (Jon) Halloway, Heidi (Noah) Hughes, Hannah Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Andrew (Tracy) Valiunas, Amy Valiunas, Rebecca DeYoung, Melissa (Jacob) Nealis, Joshua DeYoung and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Aarup, parents Hugh and Bertha (nee Hill) Trusty
Visitation: Thursday, October 8, 2015, 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, Illinois with a funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
