Don served a mission in Sweden. He also served in the military and graduated from the University of Utah. He married Carol Christensen on August 25, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died March 6, 1988. He married Gloria Grant on April 14, 1989. Together they served a Seoul Korea Temple mission in 1996-1997. His life since 1994 has been one of temple service as both an ordinance worker and a sealer.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and children; Michelle and Stanley Kane, Spencer and Cynthia Pratt, Melissa Burbank, Kristine and Mitchell Thomas, and by Gloria's children; David and Lynnette Grant, Spencer and Alicia Grant, and Lonn and Diana Litchfield. His grandchildren number 16 and great-grandchildren 13. His sister, Helen Pratt Swalberg, also survives him.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 12:00 noon at the Pleasant Grove Manila LDS Stake Center Chapel, 850 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah (adjacent to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple). Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah and also at an additional viewing on Wednesday morning from 10:30-11:30 am prior to services at the church.
