"Wanda Sue (Amburgey) Patton, age 60, of Covington and formerly of Connersville went to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:23am on October 10, 2015. She was born in Ivis, Kentucky on November 3, 1954 to late Lester Amburgey Sr. and Georgia (Collins) Amburgey.

Wanda graduated from Connersville High School and the Vocational Beauty School in 1972. She married James Patton on June 10, 2006.

She was a wonderful beautician who worked at several salons throughout the years as well as owning her own salon for over 15 years. She was a member of the Prairie Creek Baptist Church, former member of the PSI IOTA XI sorority, enjoyed country line dancing with her husband and friends, being active in the church, spending time with her grandchildren and going to the beach. She will be remembered by her caring and loving personality and her contagious excitability.

She is survived by her loving husband, James, of Covington; mother, Georgia Amburgey of Connersville; mother-in-law, Mary Patton of Tangier; son, Kevin (Ashlie) Kaiser of Brookville; daughter, Karen (Rick) Wallace of Marion; Michael Kaiser, father of Kevin and Karen; three brothers, Lester Amburgey Jr of Connersville, Larry Wayne Amburgey Sr. of Connersville, and Robert (Amy) Amburgey of Centerville; sister, Joyce Maurer of Connersville; four brother-in-laws, Rick (Connie) Patton of Tangier, Sam (Mary) Patton of Lodi, Jerry “Pud” (Cindy) Patton of Tangier, and John (Denise) Patton of Kingman; three sister-in-laws, Linda “Sis” (Ed) Branch of Annapolis, Jean (Rick) Akers of Rockville, and Linda Patton of Tangier; six grandchildren, Connor, Kevin, Bailey, Scott, Jeff, and Lauren; four great-grandchildren, Clay, Bella, Trey, and Tripp; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and especially Mary and Tandy Adams, who were like second parents to her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Amburgey Sr; brother, Wilbur Amburgey; father-in-law, Paul Patton; and brother-in-law, Denny Patton.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 4pm – 8pm. Funeral service will at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11am with Pastor Loren Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Rush Creek Cemetery near Tangier.
