ROBERT BERRY

On October 8, 2015 Robert (Bob) Berry, better known as Pap or Pappy by his family passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side.

He is survived by his loving wife Gail DeVine Berry. They had been married for 64 years and lived in Daybrook most of those years. He is also survived by a sister, Jean Wise, and a brother Fred Berry and his wife Barbara.

Bob was born to Frank Berry and Nellie Moore Berry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nellie Berry; a son-in-law, Joseph B. Tennant and a brother-in-law, Bob Wise.

He was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed going up to his pond to feed his fish and enjoyed spending time in his cabin on the hill.

Bob loved talking to people. Where ever he went he could find someone to talk to. He loved to hunt and fish and later enjoyed watching the wild life with his wife from their front porch. He also enjoyed playing cards every day with his wife Gail.

His greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves behind his children, Terrie Tennant of Daybrook, Rob Berry and his wife Sunday of Jakes Run, Debbie Jones of Daybrook and Donnie Berry of Daybrook; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who always lifted his spirits when they stopped by to visit.

He is to be cremated and at a later date the family will have a private memorial service at his cabin.

In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to: Morgantown & Amedisys Hospice, 1063 Maple Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505 in memory of Bob Berry.
