SEMINOLE (Special) - Services for Cecil Warren Holbrooks, 84, of Odessa will be at 3 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with elder Glenn Gillham officiating.

Burial will be in Gaines County Cemetery under direction of Roger Pool Funeral Home.

Holbrooks died Monday, March 10, 1997, in Midland.

He was born Nov. 12, 1912, in Cushing. He married Lilia Pittman on April 9, 1939, in Seminole. She died March 16, 1982. He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.

He worked for the CCC in the 1930s, and he worked in the shipyard in Orange during World War II. He later operated the Marathon Service Station in Seminole. He worked for the City of Seminole.

Survivors include a daughter, Celia Gillham of Midland; a sister, Lorene Hugghinscq of Rusk; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
