She was married on November 8, 1883 to Allen Rushton "A R" Johnson (ca 1858– ), the son of Major James Monroe Johnson (1831–1916) and Missouri A (Barry) Johnson (1832–1866).
Living in Goodlettsville, Davidson County, Dixie was 77 years old and a widow when Dixie died at home of bronchopneumonia on November 18, 1940. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill in Madison [city, not county].
