Gregory Allen Adams, 67 of Shippensburg, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on August 6, 1948 in Mainsville and was the son of Mrs. Pauline V. Hamilton and grandson of the late Adaline and Edward Adams of Mainsville.

Gregory was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, enlisting on September 21, 1967 and honorably discharged, along with receiving three purple hearts while stationed in Cuchi, Republic of Vietnam. He had served in Troop C, 3rd Squad 4th CAV of the 25th Infantry Division. He had worked for the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (Ships, Parts Control Center) of Mechanicsburg, PA for over 28 years and retired in 2011.

He was the beloved husband of Gloria D. Adams for 29 years they were married on December 6, 1986 at the United Brethren Church in Mainsville. Grandson of the late Adaline and Edward Adams of Mainsville.

He is survived by his Mother Pauline M. Hamilton of Shippensburg; his three children Wanda (Michael) Hepler, of Molalla, OR., Crystal (James) Arter, of Orrtanna, Pa. and Gary W. McCoy of Pueblo, Colorado; five siblings, Linda Bechtle of Shippensburg; Lana Hamilton of Mainsville; Brenda (Ray) Cressler of Shippensburg; Raymond "Rodger" (Patricia) Adams of Shippensburg, PA and Wayne Edward "Robin" Hamilton of Shippensburg. He was the proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Gregory was preceded in death by two children, Michelle Renae Adams and Gregory Allen Adams II.
