Mt Olivet cemetery records indicate this child was buried on 11 May 1879, between Marvin Young Baskette (1872) and later Albert Lee Baskette (1887).

He or she was not found in either the Baskette-DuVal family bible, published in National Huguenot Society Bible Records(accessed online) or the DuVal family history written by descendant Margaret Gwin Buchanan.

No other birth or death records were found. Nashville deaths were recorded starting in 1874 and births in 1881.

On the 1900 US Federal census, Mrs. William H. Baskette (daughter-in-law of John H. and Matilda Baskette) stated that she was the mother of 5 children, only 3 of whom were still living. Willie's birth does not conflict with any of those 3, and he/she was most likely W. H. and Lena Copeland Baskette's child (WH and Lena were married in April 1878).
