Mr. Curtis Neal Mauser, 77, of Hickory, died Tuesday, January 26, 1999 at his residence.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 28, 1999 at Oakwood Cemetery and was con
ducted by Father Ed Sheridan.
Born January 30, 1921 in Catawba County, Mr. Mauser was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a retired owner of East Side Motor Sales.
Mr. Mauser was a member of the American Legion, a decorated Veteran of World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts and The Silver Star. He was a prisoner of war in Germany, a member of the Third Infantry Division and participated in the Battle of the Bulge and Assault on Angio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Cleveland and Essie Bowman Mauser; his wife, Frances Veach Mauser; and two brothers, Harold Mauser and Frank Mauser.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mr & Mrs. Curtis N. Mauser, Jr. "Beth", of Hickory; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Steve Queen "Lisa" of Hickory and Mr. & Mrs. Elmon Dale "Pamela" of Charlotte; three grandsons, Zachary Queen, David Mauser and Harrison Mauser, all of Hickory; and one sister, Nadene M. Yoder of
Alexandria, Va.
