After her husband Samuel Henley's death, Emma Tabitha (nee Moreland) married Stith Cox. This marriage ended in divorce. In 1890, she married Jethro Peter Jones, who was born in 1837 and was a well do to farmer/merchant. He was murdered on 29 Nov 1907 in Whitesburg, Carroll Co., GA. She then lived with her daughter in Kentucky (Mary Parker Henley, who married a Frederick Swann Davis), and after that, moved to live in Washington DC near her brother, Samuel Augustus Moreland. For whatever reason, her body was sent back to be buried in the same cemetery in Kentucky as her daughter, Mary Davis, who had died before her.
