Kenneth L. Harman
Kenneth L., age 68, born in Moore, Ok. 4-4-24, died in OKC 4-27-92. Mr. Harman was employed at Buy-For-Less Food Store at N.W. 23rd & Penn as a supervisor in their meat department. He had been in the food business most of his life and at one time was employed for 13 years by Fleming Co. He formerly owned Jubilee City Foods in Tulsa, Ok.; former manager of El Reno Discount Foods; organized and operated a meat school in Tulsa, Ok. In the 50's he had been Past Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge (Siloam) in OKC, and was a member of the Capitol Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Jacque O. Harman; brothers, H.P. Harman and wife, L. of Moore, V. Harman and wife, E. of N.M.; sisters, H. Watkins of OKC and A.M. Bowman of Ca. He is also survived by 4 children, K.L. Harman of Ne., Mrs. K. Layden of Az., K.A. Harman of Mo. and J. Hubbard of Tulsa; and 4 grandchildren. He often said "The most important time of my life was when I was saved on the back porch of our home on S. Sage with my mother kneeling beside me." He was a loving and devoted husband. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Capitol Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
