BARABOO NURSE DIES SUDDENLY AT REEDSBURG

Miss Crystal Cummings, 30, of Baraboo, died suddenly this morning at the Reedsburg Municipal Hospital. The immediate cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage or apoplexy while she had been suffering with malignant high blood pressure and other complications for some time, according to her attending physician.

The Baraboo woman had gone on a private case at the Reedsburg hospital about a week ago. She was taken ill about two days ago and had been confined to bed since. Sharp pains in her head increased in intensity this morning and about 15 minutes after she had spoken of them to her nurse, she passed away. Death occurred at about 11 o'clock.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cummings who reside near Baraboo on Route four, two brothers, Robert and Lester, who are at home, and a sister, Miss Helen, of Milwaukee.

Interment will be made in the St. Joseph's Cemetery where the young woman will be laid to rest in her Red Cross uniform which she had worn while recently conducting a series of Red Cross health meetings throughout Sauk County.

Obituary research was provided by Joan Kaul of the Sauk County Historical Society.
