David Andrew
David Andrew Cassell, 36, of Roanoke, left this earth too soon on
Thursday, March 15, 2012. Born July 26, 1975, in Roanoke, he was
the son of Scott and Connie Cassell.
A generous and giving spirit, David will be forever loved and
missed by his close-knit family. He loved art and music, had a
quiet nature and was fiercely loyal to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his infant twin brother Daniel Arthur
Cassell, and by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Cassell, Mr
and Mrs. Edwin A. Calfee, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his sister, Lydia
Ingrassia, her husband James and children Pauly and Josephine, of
Roanoke; his sister, Ruth Ebrahim and son Nasir, of Roanoke; his
brother John Cassell and Marcee, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his
brother, James Cassell and wife, Tiffany, of New Bern, N.C.; and a
deeply loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and dear
friends.
He was a 1993 graduate of Northside High School. He attended
Virginia Tech, VCU, and received an associate degree from Virginia
Western Community College.
A private service will be held on Sunday, March 18. Those wishing
