Margaret Jacqueline Helms Hewitt, age 81, of Pine Mountain, AL passed away on October 15, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born March 27, 1934 and was raised in Pawnee where she went to Tarrant High School. Preceding her in death were parents, Oscar Freeman and Ruby Pearl Bryan Helms and sister, Uldine Bryant Black. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Arthur Norman Hewitt, Sr.; children, Kathy Thomas, Arthur Norman Hewitt, Jr., Susan Self (Johnny), Jeff Hewitt and John Hewitt all of Pine Mountain; sister, Carolyn Duke of Pelham; brother, Howard Helms of Pawnee; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 with Bro. Glenn Bynum officiating. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Heath, Matthew, Jeffery, Ian, Chance, Isaac, Alex and Jonathan.
