MRS. ANNIE AMELIA HOLLENSHEAD, 86, died Tuesday afternoon at 4:10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Dietrich, 541 Elder Street, Chambersburg, with whom she had made her home for the last four months. She was confined to her bed the entire time.
She was born in St. Thomas Township, the daughter of John and Mary Mowen Wise. She spent her early life in the St. Thomas and Fort Loudon area. For a number of years she resided in Greencastle and for the last 25 years in Waynesboro.
Her Husband, Joseph Hollenshead, died in 1921.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Greenwood.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. George Cary, Greencastle, Mrs. Dietrich, Chambersburg, Mrs. John Beckwith of Pen Mar, Wilbur Hollenshead of Littlestown, Joseph Hollenshead of Greencastle; George Hollenshead, Harry Hollenshead and Paul Hollenshead of Waynesboro; 26 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, David Wise, New Franklin, John Wise, Chambersburg and Wesley Wise of near Greencastle.
Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Grove Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Theodore Gaylor of Mercersburg, and Rev. Samuel Weidler of Chambersburg. Interment will be made in the Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon.
Friends may call Friday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
